Privacy Zones and Location Hiding

When Splashd launches, you'll be able to take control of your location privacy with our planned advanced location protection features. Learn how privacy zones and visibility management will work.

Important Warnings

  • ⚠️Hidden location may reduce matches in your area
  • ⚠️Some users filter out profiles without location info
  • ⚠️Emergency features require location access

Step by Step Security Setup

  1. 1You'll navigate to Settings > Privacy > Location Settings
  2. 2Toggle 'Show My Distance' on/off based on preference
  3. 3Select location precision: Exact (within 100m), Approximate (within 1km), or Hidden
  4. 4Create Privacy Zones by tapping 'Add Privacy Zone'
  5. 5Draw a radius around sensitive locations (home, work, etc.)
  6. 6Choose zone behavior: Hide completely or show approximate location
  7. 7Enable 'Pause Location' when you need temporary privacy
  8. 8Review your location history and clear if needed
