Welcome to Splashd. By accessing or using our app, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, you may not use Splashd.

- We may update these terms — we will notify you of material changes
- Breaking the rules may result in account suspension or termination
Description of Service
Splashd is a location-based social networking application designed for gay men and the broader LGBTQ+ community. We provide:
Splashd is a free app, out now on iOS and Android. An optional Plus subscription unlocks advanced filters and analytics, but core features are always free.
Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use Splashd. No exceptions. We use various methods to verify age, and misrepresenting your age will result in immediate and permanent termination of your account.
To use Splashd you must also:
- Be legally capable of entering into binding contracts
- Not be prohibited from using our services under applicable laws
- Not have been previously permanently banned from Splashd
- Maintain only one account (multiple accounts are not permitted)
User Conduct
We want Splashd to be a safe, welcoming space for everyone. The following conduct is strictly prohibited:
- Harassment, bullying, or threats
- Hate speech or discrimination based on race, identity, or any protected characteristic
- Sharing others' private information without consent
- Impersonating another person or entity
- Conducting or facilitating illegal activities
- Spam or unsolicited commercial messages
- Solicitation or offering paid escort/sexual services
- Creating fake or deceptive profiles
- Distributing malware or engaging in phishing
- Content involving or targeting minors
- Non-consensual intimate content
Content Guidelines
Splashd is sex-positive and supports authentic self-expression. Content rules differ by visibility level:
Public Photos (Grid / Profile)
- Must include your face in at least one photo
- No nudity or sexually explicit content
- No underwear or swimwear that reveals genitals
- Suggestive content is acceptable; explicit content is not
Private Albums (Free for All Users)
- Adult content is permitted with consent
- Share only with users who have explicitly requested access
- Illegal content is never permitted in private albums
- Respect when a user revokes album access
Never Allowed Anywhere
- Any content involving minors
- Non-consensual intimate imagery
- Extreme violence or gore
- Content that facilitates illegal activities
Splashd uses AI-assisted and human moderation to enforce these rules. Violations may result in content removal, account suspension, or permanent termination.
Intellectual Property
Your Content
You retain ownership of content you upload. By uploading to Splashd, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display, store, back up, and create thumbnails of your content solely as necessary to operate the service.
Our Content
The Splashd name, logo, and all associated brand assets are the property of Splashd Inc. You may not use them without prior written permission.

Termination
Account Deletion by You
You may delete your account at any time from within the app’s settings. Your data will be deleted per our Privacy Policy.
Account Suspension or Termination by Splashd
We may suspend or permanently terminate your account if you violate these Terms, harass other users, are discovered to be a minor, engage in illegal activities, or accumulate multiple verified reports from other users.
Bans may be temporary or permanent depending on the severity of the violation. To appeal, contact appeals@splashd.app.
Disclaimers & Limitations of Liability
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
SPLASHD DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE. WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR THE CONDUCT, CONTENT, OR BEHAVIOR OF OTHER USERS. OUR AGGREGATE LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIMS ARISING FROM THESE TERMS IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT YOU HAVE PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of implied warranties or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitations may not apply to you in full.
Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will:
- Send an email notification to your registered address
- Display an in-app notification
- Provide at least 30 days’ notice before changes take effect
- Update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page
Your continued use of Splashd after the effective date of any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree to the changes, you may close your account before they take effect.
