Do Not
- Send unsolicited explicit photos or messages
- Pressure anyone for photos, meetings, or sexual activity
- Continue messaging someone who has asked you to stop
- Share another person’s private photos or messages without their permission
Personal Safety
Splashd cares about your safety beyond the app. These habits help protect you in the real world.
Recommended Practices
- Meet in public places for initial encounters with someone new
- Tell a trusted friend where you are going and who you are meeting
- Consider a video call before meeting in person
- Trust your instincts — if something feels off, it probably is
- Report suspicious behaviour immediately using the in-app report button
Avoid
- Sharing your home address or precise location with people you have just met
- Sending money or gifts to users you have never met in person
- Meeting at a private residence for a first encounter
- Ignoring red flags or dismissing your gut feelings under social pressure

We Expect You To
- Celebrate diversity in all its forms
- Use people’s preferred pronouns and names

We Do Not Allow
- Discriminatory language, slurs, or hate speech of any kind
- Excluding or degrading users based on race, body type, disability, or identity
- Making uninvited assumptions about someone’s identity
- Policing or gatekeeping how others express their queerness
Photo Guidelines
Photos help the community connect authentically. The rules differ based on whether content is public or in a private album.
Public Profile Photos
- Must include your face clearly visible in at least one photo
- No nudity or sexually explicit content
- No underwear or swimwear that reveals genitals
- Use recent photos that genuinely represent how you look
Private Albums (Free for All Users)
- Adult content is permitted with explicit consent from the recipient
- Only share with users who have actively requested access
- Respect immediately when access is revoked
- Illegal content is never permitted, including in private albums
Never Acceptable — Anywhere
- Any content depicting or involving minors
- Non-consensual intimate imagery (“revenge porn”)
- Photos of others taken or shared without their consent
- Images used for catfishing or impersonation
Communication Standards
Quality interactions create better connections for everyone.
Good Communication Looks Like
- Honest and authentic messages
- Thoughtful opening messages — not copy-pasted spam
- Respecting reasonable response times and communication preferences
- Appropriate, consensual use of humour
Prohibited
- Spam or mass copy-paste messages
- Hate speech, slurs, or targeted harassment
- Threatening, aggressive, or intimidating messages
- Creating multiple accounts to circumvent a block
Legal & Ethical Use
Use Splashd responsibly and within the bounds of the law.
- You must be 18 or older to use Splashd — no exceptions
- Do not use the app to facilitate or promote illegal activities
- Do not solicit or offer paid sexual services
- Respect intellectual property rights — do not share copyrighted content without permission
- Do not impersonate another person, celebrity, or public figure
- Follow local laws regarding meetings, activities, and communications
Violations & Consequences
Splashd takes violations seriously. Our moderation team reviews reports promptly and takes proportionate action. Consequences scale with severity.
Immediate Permanent Ban
- Any content involving or sexualising minors
- Non-consensual intimate imagery
- Credible threats of violence or harm
- Illegal activities, solicitation, or trafficking
Warning or Suspension
- Harassment or targeted hate speech
- Spam or unsolicited commercial content
- Fake profiles or catfishing
- Repeated unwanted contact after being asked to stop
Content Removal
- Photos that violate public photo guidelines
- Copyrighted content shared without permission
- Misleading or deceptive profile information
Reporting
If you encounter content or behaviour that violates these guidelines, please report it. Your reports are reviewed by our trust and safety team, and you will not be penalised for reporting in good faith.
