The Guidelines

Respect & Consent

Every interaction should be based on mutual respect and clear consent.

Do's

  • Always ask before sending intimate photos
  • Respect boundaries when someone says no
  • Be clear about your intentions
  • Treat everyone with kindness and dignity

Don'ts

  • Send unsolicited explicit photos
  • Pressure anyone for photos, meets, or activities
  • Continue messaging after being asked to stop
  • Share someone's private photos without permission

Safety First

Protect yourself and others by following safe practices.

Do's

  • Meet in public places for first encounters
  • Tell a friend where you're going
  • Video chat before meeting in person
  • Report suspicious behavior immediately

Don'ts

  • Share personal information too quickly
  • Send money to people you haven't met
  • Ignore red flags or gut feelings
  • Meet at private residences for first meetups

Inclusive Community

Splashd is for everyone in the LGBTQ+ community. All are welcome here.

Do's

  • Celebrate diversity in all its forms
  • Use people's preferred pronouns
  • Be open to learning about different identities
  • Stand up against discrimination

Don'ts

  • Use discriminatory language or slurs
  • Exclude based on race, body type, or identity
  • Make assumptions about someone's identity
  • Gatekeep or police how others express themselves

Photo Guidelines

Your photos represent you. Keep them authentic and appropriate.

Do's

  • Use recent photos that look like you
  • Show your face in at least one photo
  • Be creative and show your personality
  • Mark NSFW content appropriately

Don'ts

  • Use fake or heavily filtered photos
  • Post illegal content or minors
  • Share photos of others without permission
  • Use photos for catfishing or deception

Communication Standards

Good communication makes for better connections.

Do's

  • Be honest and authentic in your messages
  • Start conversations with something thoughtful
  • Respect response times and boundaries
  • Use humor appropriately

Don'ts

  • Spam or send copy-paste messages
  • Use hate speech or harassment
  • Send aggressive or threatening messages
  • Create multiple accounts to evade blocks

Legal & Ethical Use

Use Splashd responsibly and within the law.

Do's

  • Verify you're 18 or older to use the app
  • Respect intellectual property rights
  • Follow local laws regarding meetings
  • Report illegal activities to authorities

Don'ts

  • Use the app for illegal activities
  • Solicit or offer paid services
  • Share copyrighted content without permission
  • Impersonate others or create fake profiles

Violations & Consequences

When we launch, we'll take violations seriously. Our moderation plans include warnings, temporary suspensions, or permanent bans depending on severity. We're building systems to keep Splashd safe and enjoyable for everyone.

Immediate Ban

  • Minors or content involving minors
  • Non-consensual content or revenge porn
  • Threats of violence or harm
  • Illegal activities or solicitation

Warning or Suspension

  • Harassment or hate speech
  • Spam or commercial content
  • Fake profiles or catfishing
  • Repeated unwanted contact

Content Removal

  • Inappropriate photos
  • Copyrighted content
  • Off-topic or misleading content
  • Excessive filters or edits

See Something? Say Something

When we launch, you'll be able to report violations to help keep Splashd safe. Our planned moderation team will review reports within 24 hours. During beta, please send feedback to help us improve our reporting systems.

How Reporting Will Work:

  1. 1.You'll tap the three dots on any profile, message, or photo
  2. 2.Select "Report" and choose the reason
  3. 3.Add any additional details that might help
  4. 4.Submit and our moderation team will review it
